Vodnye Resursy-Marketing, LLP is a private enterprise, which renders water supply and discharge services to 1 million people, as well as business entities of Shymkent city.
The company was the first to introduce 100 percent records of produced and sold drinking water in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as a result the amount of water supplied has decreased by 3 times.
At the present time, old meters are replaced with meters of high metrological class and low sensitivity threshold equipped with devices for remote data transmission, and all this contributes to the reduction of commercial losses.
Pumping and power equipment involved in the production and transportation of water was modernized by replacing outmoded equipment with effective equipment of the leading companies in the world. As a result of measures taken, electricity consumption has decreased by 7.9 times.
Since 2001, the developed and patented project for reconstruction of the worn-out water supply system with the installation of individual water meters in general distributive water metering units has been applied in the city of Shymkent. Since the project implementation, 796 km of street water supply networks have been reconstructed, and 62 thousand private houses and 403 high-rise apartment buildings have been connected giving a reduction of water losses of up to 5% in the private sector and 1.2% in high-rise apartment buildings.
Since 2009, the long-term cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development was established to attract investments in the reconstruction and modernization of the water supply and drainage system. 4 agreements were signed for a total amount of 41.4 million euros.

Since 2011, sewage treatment facilities have been reconstructed and modernized with the construction of the sediment reworking complex to generate electricity in Shymkent city.
